Nadean Elizabeth Epp, the daughter of Henry and Louise (Doell) Isaacs, was born in Deshler on Nov. 23, 1930 and went to be with the Lord on Dec. 25, 2013, at the age of 83.

Nadean moved when she was 4 to Hollywood, Calif. but always prayed she would get the chance to move back to Nebraska. Nadean gave her life to Christ at the age of 12 kneeling at her bedside. She returned to Nebraska at age 13 and attended country school before graduating from Henderson High School.

On Dec. 10, 1948, Nadean was married to Roland Epp at Bethesda Mennonite Chruch. They made their first home outside of Henderson, where they farmed and raised a family together. Roland went to be with the Lord on Dec. 4, 1974.

Nadean loved sharing Christ through Bible Studies and prayer meetings in the McCool area. She was a Sunday school and Bible school teacher. The following excerpt from her journal captures her heart: "Thank you Lord that despite my failings You found each one of my children and that they serve You my Lord. Then when in my weakness You became my strength."

We will miss our prayer warrior, mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her six sons and one daughter, Kelly (Donna) Epp of Lincoln, Brian (Diane) Epp of Lincoln, Ron (Sue) Epp of Bluffton, Ohio, Delwayne (Kathy) Epp of York, Vicky (Kevin) Goertzen of Aurora, Mark (Judy) Epp and Matthew Epp all of Henderson; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; brother, Dale (Donna) Isaacs of Bozeman, Mont. and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son Alan; sister, Ardith Isaacs; daughter-in-law, Renae Epp and great-granddaughter, Brynlee Goertzen.
