FALKNER – Lydle Flay Jones passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, after an extended illness at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. He was born Dec. 29, 1937, to Lydle and Wardie Davis Jones. He is retired with 27 years of service with the United States Army and the Mississippi National Guard. He enjoyed his retirement years with his friends and family at Mill Creek near Iuka.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at McBride Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley. Burial will follow in Little Hope Cemetery, Falkner.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sandra Jones, Falkner; daughter, Tanya Jones, Panama City, Fla.; son, Willis Jones, Nashville, Tenn. and his daughters, Leah and Brittany Jones; and son, Ashley Cole Jones (Ana), Falkner and his children, Cole and John Jones and Danny, Giovanna and Alexsandra Rangel; and sister, Pat Matthews (Harlan), Nashville, Tenn.
