Arnold H. "Red" Tuley, 95, of Moberly, formerly of Cairo, died Friday, December 20, 2013, at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation in Moberly.

Arnold was born December 16, 1918, in Jacksonville, to William T. and Cora F. (Lucas) Tuley.

He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II, receiving an honorable discharge. During his lifetime he was a farmer, employed at McGraw-Edison, Little Dixie, Moberly Correctional Center, Cairo Equipment, and was owner and operator of Dorsey's Cafe in the early sixties. In the last few years he had a lawn mowing business.

On June 24, 1939, in Huntsville, MO, he married Vena Hill, and she preceded him in death on November 10, 1996. He later married Mildred Teter on December 16, 1997, and she preceded him in death on December 21, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cora Sue; a son, William "Buster" Tuley; five sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include his children, Betty Jo Beal of Cairo, Wiley "Chuck" Tuley and his wife Carol of Cedar Rapids, IA, Patty Creed of Excello, Sarah Clarke and her husband Tim, and Keith Tuley all of Moberly; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Arnold was an avid sports fan and supported the Cairo High School teams. He also enjoyed listening to the St. Louis Cardinals and other teams on the radio.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Cairo Booster Club.

Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at the visitation which will be Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m., at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayers, military honors, and burial will follow in the Mt. Salem Cemetery.
