BASTIBLE - Francis X., aged 92, of South Huntington, NY - native of Brooklyn, NY died peacefully at home on August 30, 2012. Cherished husband of the late Elizabeth A. (nee Booth). Devoted Father of Dr. Deirdre (Ken Kollmar), Elizabeth Erb (Dr. Blair), Patrick (Lee Ann), Kieran X. (Kimberly), Denis (Julie), Maureen Restivo (Charles), and Cathleen. Caring grandfather of ten. Loving brother of Grace Michelini, John, and Ellen Jenkins. Beloved son of the late Francis X., and Grace A. (nee Kelly).

Proud graduate of Mount St. Marys College, Emmitsburg, MD, class of '42, and St. Johns University School of Law, class of '49. Honored WWII era veteran pilot of the U.S. Navy. Forty year law career, spanning private practice and principle judicial law clerk to the New York State Supreme Court, member Suffolk County Bar Association.

Known as charitable, kind, and generous to worthy causes, with contagious humor and full of good stories. Champion of conservation and loved the peace and beauty of nature. Prolific reader, traveler, fan of history, crossword puzzles, and good coffee.

Services held at the A.L. Jacobsen Funeral Home, Huntington Station, NY. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Hugh of Lincoln, R.C. Church, Huntington Station. Burial to follow St. Patrick's, R.C. Cemetery in Huntington.
