He was born in Grand Rapids, MI to Loyal Bishop and Margaret (Whitford) Bishop of Maple Rapids, MI.
He was formerly employed by Lansberry Trucking Co. and Dixon Machine. He attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Clearfield and was a graduate of the Fulton High School in Michigan.
Mr. Bishop was also a retired U.S. Army Veteran with 22 years of service.
He is survived by his wife Jean (Bloom) Bishop; 3 children, Jennifer Kitko and husband William of Woodland, PA, Shelly Toto and husband Michael of Clearfield, PA, Holly Shoff and her husband Jason of Sanborn, PA; 2 grandchildren, Britney Kitko and Breanna Kitko; 2 brothers and 1 sisters, Terry Bishop, Randall Bishop and Rosemary Temms, all of Maple Rapids, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, a brother Richard Bishop and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Friends may call at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home in Clearfield on Sunday, November 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, December 02, 2002 from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the American Legion and the VFW Honor Guard. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 02, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home with Dr. Duane White officiating.
