Funeral Services for Ed Dozier, 50, resident of Midland for 28 years, who died at his home early Monday of a heart attack will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday evening at Ellis Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. Hubert Hopper, Presbyterian pastor will officiate and internment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be a group of friends of Mr. Doziers eldest son, now deceased. ...........
Born Paint Rock, Texas September 5, 1891. Mr. Dozier was well known through this section of the country. While both were in Daniel Baker College at Brownwood, he met Miss Minnie Hazel Van Huss........Marriage at Midland, Jan. 18, 1913.....served as state and county tax assesor for two terms, was in the ranching business and of late years had been engaged in business in Midland. At the time of his death, he had just opened a barber shop at the Midland Flying School.
Survivors
Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Dozier. Of these the eldest son, Thomas Edward III, died a few years ago. Surviving Mr. Dozier, beside the widow, are the other three children, a son, Bob Dozier of Fort Worth, and two daughters, Mrs. Clint Coughran of Goldsmith and Miss Jo Ann Dozier of Midland; and three brothers, Brooks Dozier of Indiana, Homer Dozier of Penwell, and E.B. Dozidf of Odessa.
