Before her marriage in 1895, she sang in amateur theatricals, then went on to legitimate stage and worked for the famous William Brady. Later she worked in Vaudeville and traveled all over the country. She always had her Grandmother, Jane Spangler with her when she traveled.
Bea died October 15, 1902 in Martinville, Indiana of Rhematic Heart where she was sent to take the baths for her Muscular Rheumatism. She is buried in the Hartmann Plot in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
