Frederic C. Adams Jr., 64, died Dec. 19, 2013. Fred was born in Cambridge and had been a lifelong Weymouth resident and a graduate of Weymouth High School. He retired from the Boston Herald where he had worked as a printer. Fred loved traveling and walking on Wollaston Beach. He was the son of the late Frederic Adams and Grace McAnaul Adams and is survived by his siblings, Larry Adams of Weymouth, Paul Adams of Florida, Stephen Adams and his wife Joan of Florida, Thomas Adams of Weymouth, Janice McKinney of Bridgewater; and his aunt, Joan Connors of Abington. Fred also leaves several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Dorothy Wilcox and Richard Adams. A private memorial service will be held at the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Central St., Abington, Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital online at www.stjude.org or by mail at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
