Montee Zona Hinton Ward, 84 of Safford, AZ and formerly of Fort Thomas, AZ passed away Saturday, December 28, 2013 at her home. Montee was born May 09, 1929 in Fort Thomas to Tee and Edna McEuen Hinton.

Known to many of her family and friends as, "Blue", she was a fun loving and giving individual. She loved life and enjoyed each day to the fullest with lots of laughter and happiness. She also had many close relatives and friends from the Bylas Reservation. She had a beautiful singing voice and performed in the San Francisco Bay area. Coming from a family of many generations of ranchers and previous owners of Black Rock Ranch, she was the proud owner of the Circle & Half Ranch in Geronimo where Herford cattle, cotton and alfalfa was grown.

She is survived by her children, Becky Johnson (Tom) of Thatcher, Mollie C. Ward of Safford, Tee (Jennifer) of Oro Valley and Jamie Hathaway of Las Vegas, NV. Montee has nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and two others expecting.

Montee is preceded in death by her parents and sister Jo Dean Glover.

Graveside services will be held at the Safford Cemetery on Friday, January 03, 2014 at 11:00 am.
