Hugo Behringer, 87, 2702 Raven Ave., Wausau, died Saturday at 4 p.m. in a Wausau hospital. Servces will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. The Rev. W.H. Ortwein of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wausau, will officiate. Burial will be in the Mosinee Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday after 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Behringer was born Dec. 9, 1889, in Manitowoc County, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Behringer. On Jan. 21, 1913, in Manitowoc County, he was married to Edna Koespel, who survives. He was a cheesemaker in the Greenwood area all of his life. Survivors besides his wife include four daughters, Mrs. Rupert Smith, Canon City, Colo., Mrs. Adrian Waniger, Stratford, Mrs. Lester Awe, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Kenneth Talcott, Mosinee Route 6; three sons, Merlin, Colby, Robert, Mazomanie, and Harvey, Stratford; a sister, Mrs. Richard Hermann, Manitowoc; a brother, Norman, Greenwood; 18 grandchildren and 25 great -grandchildren.
