Delzell Dietsch
Delzell Duane Dietsch, 80, of Burlington, died at 3:32 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born Feb. 15, 1923, in Franklin Township, he was the son of William and Della Wasson Dietsch. On March 15, 1944, he married Sina E. Hill in Kahoka, Mo. She died Sept. 10, 1989.
Mr. Dietsch was an assembler for General Electric for 10 years and worked at Campbell Chain Co. for more than 20 years.
He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Daisy Chain Square Dance Club, Pinochle Club and Circle Square B Square Dance Club.
Survivors include twin son and daughter, William M. Dietsch of Temple, Pa., and Mara S. Metcalf of Soldotna, Alaska; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters.
Visitation will begin at noon today at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The funeral for Mr. Dietsch will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Daniel Cole officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery in West Burlington.
