A son of Douglas Bainbridge and Jennie Ham Bainbridge. Preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Florence Allen and Jennie Conwell.
He was a retired machinist for NASA and was a member of the machinist's union.
He is survived by his wife, Mary K. Weakley Bainbridge; one daughter, Sybil Jo Williams of Cummings, Georgia; two step-sons Timothy W. Nelson of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Todd R. Nelson of Hampton; two step-daughters, Kim A Andrews of Newport News and Kalynn A. Hassell of Hampton; and 11 grandchildren.
A graveside service was held at Parklawn Memorial Park by the Reverend Ronnie Snead with visitation at Lawrence B. Wood Funeral Home, Hampton.
