MARY ELIZABETH BURLEIGH
VERNON - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Burleigh died Saturday at her home on cooper Street.
She had been in ill health for several weeks but was able to be about the home.
M. Elizabeth Dapson was born in Williamstown, May 1, 1862, daughter of William and Annie Curtis Dapson. She married Jessie Burleigh who died in 1929 and had resided here about 10 years. A son, Jesse Jr., also died several years ago.
Mrs. Burleigh was a member of the Methodist Church, Verona and a charter member of Winona Chapter 249 OES.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Dr. W. Forest Burleigh, Oriskany Falls; A. Leslie Burleigh and Mrs. William Sturdevant, Vernon; two brothers, William Dapson of Herkimer and Stephen Dapson of Little Falls; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Gardner, Syracuse, and several grandchildren.

Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Mary Burleigh
Vernon, April 25.—Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Burleigh were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at her late home with the Rev. W.H. Bradley, pastor of the M. E. Church, officiating. Florial tributes included pieces from Winona Chapter O. E. S., Past Matrons' Club, Harmony Club, neighbors,, friends and relatives. Acting as bearers were A. Frank Pine, Frank E. Dapson, William Gibson, Charles Sasenbery, Charles A. Burg and Elmer E. Waters. Interment
was in Verona Cemetery. Members of Winona Chapter went
in a body to the home Sunday afternoon to pay final respect. Those attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. William Gardner and family, Syracuse; Mr. and Mrs. William Dapson, Herkimer; Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Dapson,
Little Falls; Dr. W. F. Burleigh and family, Orlskany Falls.
