John Andrew Myers
John Andrew Myers, son of Jacob P. and Sarah M. Myers was born in Hamilton county, Aug. 8, 1875. He departed this life at his home Thursday, Oct. 30, 1958 at the age of 83 years, two months and twenty-two days.
He was united in marriage to Oma Smithpeters on Nov. 14, 1897-He is survived by his wife, Oma and four children, Mrs. Inez Nation, Oshkosh, Wis., Allie, Cecil and Kenneth, McLeansboro; two children Wiliard and Ethel preceded him in death. Also he letaves to mourn eight grandchildren and a host of neices, nephews and friends
Andy, as he was best Known was the youngest and last surviving member of a large family of eleven children. He' was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry,. George,
and Samuel and seven sisters, Nancy, Kizzia, Mary, Frances Margaret, Luvina and Sarah. He and his wife professed faith in Christ and joined New Hope Baptist church in 1902 and we're the oldest living members of the 'church. His entire life was spent as a farmer within five miles of McLeansboro.
He was a devoted husband and father and had a kind and jovil disposition which endeared him to thet hearts of all who knew him His friends were numbered by his acquaintances.

We wish to thank our relatives and friends for the many acts of love and kindness they extended at the time of the death of our husband and fathefr. We would especially like to thank Dr. Tobey.
