Michael Braden Alsup Grant, 15, of Amarillo died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Paramount Baptist Church with Anthony Watt, youth pastor of Paramount Baptist Church, officiating and Chad Mason assisting. Graveside services will follow in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Michael was born July 31, 1998, in Amarillo. Michael attended Paramount Baptist Church, where he enjoyed being part of the youth group.

Michael studied at home. His favorite subjects were history, science and Bible studies. He loved to learn and loved to talk. He was always ready to discuss any subject with family and friends. Michael also loved video games, watching YouTube, and spending time with his brother and sister.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew, in 2012; his great-grandfather, Charles King; and a great-grandmother, Virginia Pollard.

Survivors include his parents, Valley and Bobby Grant; a brother, Bradly; a sister, Lily Ruth; his grandparents, Richard Alsup, Delinda King, Perry and Vicki Walker and James and Constance Grant, all of Amarillo; and he was
loved by numerous great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and summer camp family.

Family and friends are invited to visit the funeral home at their convenience.
