Ann Arbor passed away peacefully at Glacier Hills Dec. 5, 2012 after a brief illness. He was a WW II veteran serving in Europe with the 9th Army and in the Pacific with the 4026 Signal Photo Battalion. Jim retired from the University of MI after working in the Professional Theatre Program for over 25yrs. He was a retired member of local Unions IBEW 252 and IATSE 395. James was also a member of the Good Sam Club for the past 20yrs. He enjoyed camping and building furniture for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 61 yrs. Della, a brother Alfred and great grandson Aaron. He is survived by a daughter Diane (Steve) Grzadzinski, a son Carl (Helga) Graf, 3 sisters Edna Carr, Dorthy Hefner and Jeannette Brandel, 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 9th from 2-8pm at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Ann Arbor. A funeral service will be held on Mon. 11:00 at the funeral chapel. Burial to follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Donations suggested to the American Cancer Society.
