HAYS -- Frances (Hale) Brent, 94, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013. She was born Oct. 27, 1919, in Alton. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.D., and one grandson.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond (Mary Alice) Brent, of Hays, and James (V'Ann) Brent, of Poulsbo, Wash.; daughter, Ann Freeborn, of Signal Mountain, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at Sumner Cemetery, Alton. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, in care of Clark-Gashaw Mortuary, 28 N. First, Osborne 67473.
