Mr. Masten is survived by his wife, Lelia Masten; three daughters, Christa Trok of Goshen, IN, Lauralee (Thomas) Nothstine of Kankakee, IL and Maralouise (Lee) Ammerman of Mishawaka, IN; son, Kim (Kathy) Masten of Mishawaka, IN; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren and brother, Rex (Karla) Masten of CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and a great granddaughter, Natalia Nothstine.
Mr. Masten served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He retired from AM General as a safety administrator. Mr. Masten was a graduate of Franklin College, Franklin, IN. Music was a big part of Fred's life. Among the many groups he sang with he was bass in the Brothers Four Barbershop Quartet and Men of A-cord. He also loved gospel music and sang with the Gospeliers at their winter resident in Pharr, TX,
Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Olive Branch United Brethren in Christ Church, 22750 Osborne Road, Lakeville, IN, one hour prior to the 3:00 p.m. Memorial service. Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville is assisting the family.
