Graveside funeral services for Grace Goin, 85 year old Buffalo woman who passed away Feb. 21, 1997, a the Amie Holt Care Center, were held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 26, in the Kearney Cemetery with Pastor Tom Saur officiating.
Friends may donate in her memory to the Amie Hold Care Center Activities Department in care of the funeral home.
Linnie Grace Goin was born Dec. 22, 1911, in Story to James and Mary Huggins, a pioneer family who settled there in the 1880's. She grew up in Story and attended elementary school, then attended Sheridan High School.
In March of 1929, she married John weaver in Hardin, Mont., and they made their home in Story until 1950.
She moved to Buffalo and in 1952, was married in Jackson to Fred Goin. They made their home in Buffalo where Grace worked at the Veteran's Home. She worked many years at the Idlewild Cafe and retired in 1970. Mr. Goin passed away in January of 1993, and Grace had continued to live in Buffalo until the time of her death. She was very active and past member of the Story Woman's Club, and was a past member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Patricia Hepp and husband Earl of Buffalo, Betty Rice and husband, Don of Gillette, Rosemary Loeber of Las Vegas, and Sharon Anderson of Sheridan; three stepdaughters, Mary Lou Bullock and Wanda Sells, both of Gigharbor, Wash., and Linda Rose of Houston, Texas; one stepson Donald Goin of Denver, Colo.; one sister, Jean Lunbeck of Story; two brothers, Jim Huggins of Story and Wilbur Huggins of Sheridan; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Bonnie Wright, three brothers, two sisters and one great-grandson.
