Mr. Edward Pierce Eaves passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at his residence. He was a native of Jefferson County and lifelong resident of Burke County. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Waynesboro, and a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans. Mr. Eaves was presently employed with the Southern Company at Plant Vogtle. He was preceded in death by his father, C.F. Eaves and his sister, Virginia Carpenter. Surviving are, his wife, Brenda Eaves, his daughters, Elizabeth Ward and husband Craig of Martinez and Maria Salemi (Tony) of Hephzibah, his mother, Cora Lee Eaves , his sister, Anita Trujillo, his brother, Harris Eaves all of Wrens and one grandson, Parker Ward. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, January 3, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Joiner- Anderson- Saxon- Prescott funeral Home. Memorial Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Craig Hutto officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Blanton Lee, John Cason, Bob Neal, Don Mettenburg, Billy McCann and Mike Filliator.
