ROSSVILLE - William "Howard" Davis, 94, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014.
He had lived in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas for most of his life and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid musician and in the 1940s played with the Louvin Brothers. He retired from General Electric in 1985 after more than 43 years of service as a machinist and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Reuben and Bertha Sanders Davis.
Graveside services will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South, with the Rev. Jeff Brown officiating.
