Donald Harold Tuttle, 72, a life long resident of Ulster passed away peacefully on Dec. 30, 2008, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born May 29, 1936, Donald was the son of the late Beverly (Sodan) Tuttle, and Donald H. Tuttle Sr. Donald left high school early to serve his country in the Army returning to Ulster where he met the love of his life Joanne Farr, marrying her in 1959 at her father's (Gordan Farr) funeral home. Together they raised three adoring children and were active in their business, church, and community. Donald served as the Ulster Township Supervisor for 30 plus years and was an antique dealer in town never truly retiring.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife of 49 Years Joanne (Farr) Tuttle on Aug. 13, 2007, brother Joseph Tuttle; sisters Nancy Stevens, and Barbara Woodruff.

Donald is survived by his children: Gregory (Betsy) Tuttle of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Julie (David) Eccker of Ulster, David (Kathy) Tuttle of Athens; sisters, Evelyn Boyles of Towanda, Alice (Kenny) Johnson of Wysox; brothers, Allen (Betty) Tuttle of Wysox, Ronald (Paula) Tuttle of Wysox; grandchildren, Gregory Thomas Tuttle, Adam Tuttle, Ashley Tuttle, Katrina (Lawrence) Faucett, Sarah Eccker, Eric Eccker, Kristy Tuttle; his special companions Momma Kitty and Bubba; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Ulster United Methodist Church at PO Box 345, Ulster, Pa. 18850, in loving memory of Donald. A memorial service and celebration of Donald's life will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 3, at the Ulster United Methodist Church with Pastor Sandy Brant officiating. A period of visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will take place in the Ulster Cemetery immediately following the service.
