A native of Oconee County, he was the son of late Seaborn and Doris Rochester Collins. Paul was formerly employed with J.P. Stevens, he was an avid hunter and loved his family and grandchildren.
Paul is survived by his son, Jerry Paul Collins, Jr. and wife Kellie; brother, Billy Collins; two grandchildren, Augustus Collins, Jamie Collins; and his former wife, Malinda McAbee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby Collins, Jimmy Collins and a sister, Ruth Collins.
