Nadine was born in Delia, Texas, to the late George Wendell Dollar and Ollie Ethel (Thompson) Dollar. She was raised in Hubbard but had lived in Axtell for 33 years before making Corsicana her home for the past year. Nadine worked at Stillwell Retired Teachers Home in Waco as well as Happy Days Day Care also in Waco. After moving to Axtell, she operated a home day care. Nadine was a member of Victory Tabernacle Pentecostal Church of God in Waco.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" D. Howze; a sister, Maxine Rogers; and brother-in-law, J.T. Rogers.
Survivors include daughters, Linda Barber and husband, Kenneth, of Corsicana, and Barbara Trapp and husband, Corbit, of Waxahachie; sons, Danny Howze and wife, Tina, of Bossier City, Louisiana, and Bobby Howze, of Corsicana; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
