A.J. Flowers was born to the late Fredrick Lee Flowers and Milia (Akers) Flowers.
He had served in the Army National Guard and had worked as an aircraft painter until his retirement. He married Mattie Lee (Walton) on July 1, 1975, in St. Petersburg, Fla. and they remained together until her death in 2009.
Survived by his children from his first marriage to Donna Faye Johnson, two daughters, Tina, Bobbie, and two sons, Johnny and James Flowers.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Velma Flowers; and four brothers, Eugene, Dow, Loyd, and Wendell Flowers.
Graveside funeral rites for Bristow resident, A.J. Flowers, was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, in the Woodford Cemetery at Woodford, Okla. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Michael's Funeral Home of Bristow.
