He was born Paul Michael Cullen in Ireland. Relocated to Canada, with his parents, at 8 months old. Raised & grew up in Santa Monica, CA. He joined the Zephyr team right before they broke up. He then went on to skate for Z-Flex. He was featured in 1976 surfing/skating documentary "Go For It". He was featured in "Who's Hot" article in Skateboarder magazine, June 1977; Vol 3, #5. He was featured in 2001 documentary by Stacy Peralta, "Dogtown & Z-Boys". He was featured in "The Dogtown articles" in Skateboarder magazine.
Services were held July 25, 2009 at St. Monica's Catholic Church in Santa Monica, CA.
Paddle-out memorial was July 26, 2009 at the Venice, CA pier where his ashes were committed to the sea.
He leaves behind a daughter, surviving family & many friends.
