Katharine Rose Zimmel, 85, of 522 N. Milwaukee St., Theresa, died on Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 20, at 11 a.m., at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Theresa. The Rev. Kevin Kowalske will officiate. Burial will be in St. Theresa Memorial Garden, Theresa.
Katharine was born on Nov. 25, 1920 in Mayville, the daughter of Frank and Magdelana (Kayser) Krutke. She was married to Jerome M. Zimmel Sr., on Sept 27, 1941, in Mayville.
Katharine was head cook for the Theresa American Legion. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Theresa, and a member of the Theresa American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include five children; four sisters-in-law; seven grandchildren; step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1993; one grandson; five sisters and five brothers,
