FORMER COUNTY RESIDENT DEAD
C. J. Miller, One-Time Rosendale Man, Is Buried at Baldwin, Wis.
The funeral of Charles J. Miller, 70, a farmer resident of Rosendale who died Friday, Jan. 7, at his home near Baldwin, St. Croix Count, Wis. after a lingering illness, was held Monday, Jan. 10, from the Presbyterian Church at Baldwin at 1:30 p.m. Burial took place at the Baldwin Cemetery.
Mr. Miller moved to Rosendale with his parents when nine years of age. He was married to Miss Julia Tuttle of Rosendale who died in 1896. He was married to Miss Alice Neas and continued to make his home at Rosendale until 1902 when they moved to a farm north of Baldwin where he resided until the time of his death.
The deceased is survived by his widow, three children by his first wife, Clarence of Medford, Wis. Ethel of Ripon and Merritt of Appleton, five-grandchildren, one brother, Clarence of Oakfield, and one sister, Mrs. Edith Thayer of Rosendale.
Mr. Miller was an active member of the Masonic fraternity and the Knight Templar and also of the I. O. O. F. until his age made it impossible for
him to attend further meetings.
