CARROLLTON - Essie Loree Narmour Montgomery, age 99, died Thursday January 2, 2014 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital from heart failure.

She was born July 20, 1914 to the late George and Roxie Mann Narmour and attended school in Carroll County. She worked until her retirement at Baldwin Piano in Greenwood, and was a member of the Mt Pisgah Baptist Church where she was active for years in WMU, and the Senior Citizens Group, and was a member of the Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her husband, M.R. 'Bud' Montgomery, and a son, Erby Montgomery Sr.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday 1/5/2014 at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Teoc. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church with Reverend Lanny Haley and Reverend Joseph Sansing officiating.

Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in Mount Pisgah Cemetery.

She is survived by 2 Sons, James Roy Montgomery of Greenville and Ray Montgomery of Carrollton, 4 Daughters, Mary Frances Tingle of Byram, Nell Whitfield of Carrollton, Shirley Clark of Greenwood, and Polly Acey of Carrollton, 1 Sister, Emerine Lemley of Greenwood, 21 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to the Mount Pisgah Cemetery fund, 624 CR 256, Carrollton, Ms 38917 or to the Mount Pisgah Playground fund, 286 CR 41, Carrollton, Ms. 38917
