James Paul Coxey, of Dayton, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at his residence. He was 69.

Retired from ABC Blind and Awning after 35 years of service, Mr. Coxey was a member of American Legion Brady-Williams Post #100. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Army, he was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith.

Mr. Coxey was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Wilkey Coxey; parents, Grover and Laura Cranfill Coxey; sisters, June Brady and Bonnie Martin; and brothers, Max and Gene Coxey.

Survivors include his daughters, Sue McCary, Debbie Cronan and Sandy Francisco, all of Dayton; sons, Jerry and Jimbo Coxey, both of Dayton; sisters, Alma Jordan of Red Bank, and Polly White of Dayton; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Revs. Audie May and Tommy Wilkey officiating.

Burial followed in Montgomery Cemetery.
