Mr. Olson, who was born in Sweden in 1882, came to the United States as a young man after serving in the Swedish navy. He first settled at Laramie in 1907 and worked around Laramie and Denver until the spring of 1908, when he moved to Kearney.
At Kearney he worked for William Affeldt for five years. In 1913 he married Rosa Hepp and engaged in ranching at Kearney for five years. In 1918 the family moved to Big Horn, where they have resided ever since.
Mr. Olson was a member of Lebanon Lutheran church, the Odd Fellows lodge and Yeomen.
He is survived by his widow, his daughters, Inga and Bessie, who reside in Sheridan, a son Harry; a half-sister in Denmark, a half-sister and two half-brothers in Sweden, and a cousin, Oscar Christianson of Big Horn.
Funeral services are to be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Reed drawing room by the Rev. C.A. Lofgren, Burial will be at Kearney.
