She was born on August 5, 1927, in Colorado Springs, CO, the daughter of Lafayette Key and Eva Leora (Metcalf) Adams. She graduated from Central College. On June 2, 1949, Eunice was united in marriage to John B. Shaw in Colorado Springs, CO.
Eunice was a member of the McPherson Free Methodist Church and the Happy Handful Club.
Survivors include: her husband, John of the home; children, Robert Shaw (Rose Marie) of Eugene, OR, Timothy Shaw (Judy) of McPherson, KS, LaVonda Hinrichsen (Mike) of Upland, CA, Karolyn Johnson (Jeff) of McPherson, KS, Richard Shaw (Julie) of Waco, TX, and Lisa Hampton (Matt) of Goddard, KS; 27 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
The funeral service will be at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at the McPherson Free Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Griffith and Rev. Deborah Somerville officiating. Burial will follow at the McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 14, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Memorial donations may be given to the McPherson Free Methodist Church or Central Christian College of Kansas in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
