Mildred Opal Andrew, 88 died Saturday, July 15, 2000 at Great Plains Medical Center in North Platte. She was born October 30, 1911, in Fremont County, Iowa; to Oscar Martin and Maude Mahala (Gram) Weston. She attended school in Sidney, Iowa.

On September 17, 1929, she married Francis Martin Andrew at Trenton. She was a homemaker and was the owner-operator of three restaurants. She was employed at the TRW in McCook. She was a member of the Church of Christ and the Good Neighbor Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband Francis, in 1979; one daughter, Katherine Opal; and one brother Ocia Weston.

Survivors include three sons, James and wife, Pearl Andrew of Palisade, Ivan Andrew of Knoxville, Iowa, Albert and wife, Jenette Andrew of North Platte; two daughters, Karen and husband, Duane Steinbeck of Republican City, Sharon Andrew of Palisade one brother, Mark and wife Betty Watson of Henry; three sisters, Deloris Morgan of Parris, California, Nadine and husband Frank Suda of Palisade, Betty Renner of McCook; twelve grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Tuesday 10:00 a.m. at the Palisade Cemetery with Pastor Randy Hayes officiating.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
