He was born on May 11, 1951, in Beaumont, Texas to Carrie G. Reed Capps and Thurman L Capps.
Thurman was a 1969 Lumberton High School graduate and retired from Exxon Mobil. Having many accomplishments in his lifetime, he was a hamm radio operator, a multiple engine pilot, and member of IBEW Local 479.
Survivors include his wife, Dorita Capps; sons, Heath Bradley Capps and Jaime Ryan Capps; daughter, Patrice Capps; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Terrell; and three grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Susie Capps; and son, Todd Christopher Capps.
Interment: Hardin County Memorial Park, Silsbee, Texas.
