Valerie Jean Abrahamson, of Manton, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Mercy Hospital Cadillac. She was 68.
Valerie was born January 24, 1945, in Big Rapids, to Wilton and Ardith (French) Rogers. Valerie was married to Lynn Harold Abrahamson on September 2, 1967, in Cadillac. Valerie enjoyed making pies for others and working at the church. She was a member of Rollins Christian Fellowship Church in Manton.
Valerie is survived by her husband, Lynn Harold Abrahamson of Manton; son, Roger (Karen) Abrahamson of Falmouth; daughter, Amy (Dave) Stierwalt of Anchorage, Alaska; granddaughter, Abigail Abrahamson; grandson, Elias Stierwalt; grandson, Kaden Abrahamson; granddaughter, Tana Stierwalt; and a brother, Wilton (Deanna) Rogers of Mt. Morris.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilton Rogers, and mother, Ardith Rogers.
The family would like to thank Autumnwood of McBain for their loving care for the past few months.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 10, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Rollins Christian Fellowship Church. Officiating will be Pastor Bart Glupker. Interment will be at the Bloomfield Township Cemetery in Manton. Visitation will be Thursday, January 9, 2014, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
