On Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, our Heavenly Father accepted a great man. Bruce Johnnie Blair, 58, of Kimberly, Idaho, passed away at his home.
Bruce was born on Aug. 23, 1955 in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was raised on the family farm in Buhl, where he graduated from Buhl High School in 1974.
‎ ‎ ‎ While slowly figuring out what to do in life, he found custom farming was his nitch. Bruce had a custom farming business that was a long-lasting loving brotherhood that he shared with his brother, Jim. Bruce loved stacking hay and tinkering in his shop. He prided himself on repairing his own equipment and welding. He was very good at those kinds of things.
‎ ‎ ‎ What we know most about Bruce was the love and passion he had for the game of pool. Bruce had a billiard business that he loved, and when it came to pool, he gave his all. He always gave the time of day for anyone who wanted to learn to play. He would never get tired of it. His favorite two words were, "rack 'em" is what we'll miss the most. He loved being around people; he loved when people would come over, crank up the tunes and play pool.
‎ ‎ ‎ He also enjoyed taking people out in his pride and joy, the Corvette. He would smile for days when he got to give people a cruise in that car. So many of us know and have shared these moments. We love you and miss you, Bruce.
‎ ‎ ‎ Bruce is survived by his loving daughter who never left his side, Katie Blunt; his sons, Christopher Blair and Lance Swinney; three grandchildren, Courtney, Abbey and Cammie; as well as his brothers, Jim Blair and Dennis Blair; his sisters, Diana Blachr and Denise (Bob) Hadley; and numerous other family members.
‎ ‎ ‎ He was preceded in death by his parents, Annetta Blair and Johnnie Blair.
‎ ‎ ‎ A celebration of Bruce's life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at Reynolds Funeral Chapel, 2466 Addison Ave. E. in Twin Falls.
‎ ‎ ‎ Services are under the direction of Preston Flanary and staff at Reynolds Funeral Chapel in Twin Falls.
