She married Harrison Gibson April 5, 1860, and they had five sons, John S., Jess N., Edward F., William H. and E. Milton, and Edward F., who died Aug. 1879. She married second, Benjamin Chedister, and they had three children, James L., Kester L. and Thurman William Chedister of Grinnell. She had eleven brothers and sisters, five still living: John S. Tyrrel, Wilbaux, Montana; Dorliska E. Miller, Eugene, Ore.; Lorenzo P. Tyrrel, McRae, Ark; Osman and James H., Albia. (IA). She died aged 71 years, 10 months and 12 days."

Tyrrel of McRae, Ark., Osman M. and James Tyrell of Albia, Iowa. She became a member of the church in 1860. She was 71 years, 10 months and twelve days of age. Funeral service was held by Rev. C. V. Pearce of Albia."
