Florence Yager, 87, of Midland, died Thursday morning, Oct. 20, 1994, at the home of her daughter.

She was born Oct. 7, 1907, in Wood County, Ohio, daughter of the late Lawrence and Emma (Sweebe) Irelan. She married Lloyd O. Yager on May 29, 1929, in Midland; he predeceased her on may 14, 1963. Mrs Yager attended Midland Public Schools and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Yager had owned and operated the Bullock Creek Grocery store for six years and the had worked for Sears and Roebuck Co. from 1945; retiring in 1968.

Surviving is a daughter, Bonnie Fenske and her husband, Dale of midland; three grandchildren and their spouses, Michael Fenske, Nancy and Bill Pringle, and Patti and David Hilliker, all of Midland; six great-grandchildren; one foster grandson; one foster great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Yager was preceded by a foster son and a sister.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, Oct. 22, 1994, 11 a.m. from the Ware-Smith-Woolever & Co. Funeral Chapel, 1200 W. Wheeler St. The Rev. Ira A. Bush of the First United Methodist Church will officiate; with burial in Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Yager's family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 2-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Midland Visiting Nurses Association or the charity of their choice.
