Nell was a fine honorable woman. She worked in an Atlanta bank when she married an air force pilot, Bill Bradford, from Texas. A few years after he suddenly passed away, she married a Methodist minister, Rev. James Aycock.
She was honest and smart. She was an excellent housekeeper and cook, much loved by hers and Bill's children, Tommy, Sharon and David.
Nell's memory will be treasured by her family and many friends.

Mrs. Nell Aycock of Colquitt died Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Americus, GA. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 11, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Colquitt United Methodist Church with Rev. Rebecca Duke-Barton, Rev. Jim Rush, Rev. Ricky Varnell, and Rev. Wesley Kaylor officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Colquitt Funeral Home. There will be a private family committal service.

Mrs. Aycock was a homemaker and a member of Colquitt United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. James D. Aycock, Jr. of Colquitt, GA; two sons, Tommy (Vicki) Bradford of Columbus, GA, and David (Lisa Brady) Bradford of West Palm Beach, FL; one daughter, Sharon B. (Brooks) Lowe of Oviedo, FL; four grandchildren, Brad Lowe, Rob Lowe, Krista Bradford, and Dalton Bradford; one brother, Jerry Phillips of Colquitt, GA; and two sisters, Virginia Warren and Ruth Miller both of Colquitt, GA. Mrs. Aycock was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Lannie Phillips; three brothers, Hiram Phillips, Buddy Phillips, and Joe Phillips; and two sisters, Frances Lane and Sarah Phillips.
