She was born in the Free and Hansaetic City of Hamburg, Germany. She married Johann Meier there in 1841, and had three children; Wilhelmine, Johann, and Emma. Johann Meier died before December of 1848. She married Heinrich Fleige on 18 Dec 1848 in Louisville, Kentucky. The family then moved to Vanderburgh County, and on 26 Sep 1849, she gave birth to Julia Fleige. In 1859 she gave birth to Sarah Fleige, her last child. The family resided in Darmstadt where Heinrich worked as a huckster, carpenter, and eventually ran his own store until his death in 1890.
Wilhelmine and Johann Meier, her children disappear from the records by 1860. Emma married Jacob Schickel and had her own Family. Julia married Johann Thomas Blesch and had a family in Mount Vernon, Posey County. Sarah married Charles Draheim and had two sons before he died, and then married Christian Gerst and had more children.
