After a lengthy illness, Mrs. Agnes Lavina Stockton, 71 years of age, expired at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Laura Hunt, 926 Boulevard northwest, Friday. She is survived by her daughter and a son, H.E. Stockton, of Calgary; three sisters, Mrs. M.J. Mace, Boston; Mrs. A.J. Parkyn, Petiticodiac, N.B.; Mrs. K. Kennedy, New Bedford, Mass.

She was born in Richwood, Ont., [sic] and moved to Okotoks 24 years ago, residing there until 1920. She had lived alternately in Okotoks and Calgary since.

Service will be held at Foster and Fosters funeral home at 3:30 p.m. Monday. Rev. Kidd, of Okotoks, to officiate. Burial will be made in the Union cemetery.

Mrs. Agnes Lavina Stockton, 71 years of age, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Laura Hunt, 926 Boulevard northwest, Friday, March 22.

Both Mrs. Stockton, and her late husband, Wesley Stockton, were of United Empire Loyalist stock, she having been born in New Brunswick, going to Paris, Ontario, after her marriage. They moved west in 1904 and settle in Okotoks, where they engaged in farming until Mr. Stockton's demise in 1921.

She is survived by her daughter and one son, H. E. Stockton, of Calgary; three sisters, Mrs. M. J. Mace, of Boston, Mass.; Mrs. A. J. Parkyn, of Peticodiac, N.B. and Mrs. K. Kennedy, of New Bedford, Mass. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon from Foster and Foster's funeral parlors, and the remains were interred beside those of her husband in the Union cemetery. Rev. W. J. Kidd, of Okotoks, was in charge of the service. The pallbearers were: F. Campbell, T. McKay, W. Kadey and J. M. Hutchinson, of Okotoks, all old friends of the family.

Mrs. Stockton was known to be of a quiet and assuming nature, but exercised a strong influence for good.
