Arthur "Art" Tourangeau, 83, died on a Tuesday evening at St. Francis Hospital.

Art was the son of Arthur and Valentine (Charboneau) Tourangeau Sr., the seventh eldest of 11 children.

On Nov. 10, 1951, he married Elizabeth (Betty Lou) Massard at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Escanaba.

Art was a farmer all his life. He loved farming and being outdoors. He enjoyed working in his garden. Other than his true love, Betty Lou for 56 years, he loved his cows. Whenever he had spare time he would go out to the barn and brush them to keep them clean. He was named "Delta County Farmer of the Year" in 1966. In 1989 the Tourangeau Dairy Farm was the "Farm of the Year for Delta County".

Art was a longtime and faithful member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Flat Rock. He served as an usher and was a member of the Men's Club Smear League for many years.

Including his wife, Elizabeth (Betty Lou), Art was survived by a son, a daughter, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers, one sister, a brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews; and five beautiful godchildren, Debbie, Lynn, Cynthia, Diane and Lisa.

Art was preceded in death by: parents; three baby boys; two grandsons, Eric and Bobby Tourangeau; two sisters, Bernadette Reuter and Cecile Fries; and five brothers, Renee, Ernest, Leo, Brother Clem and Raymond.

Visitation at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Rev. Fr Jose Maramattam and Rev. Fr John Tourangeau. Burial in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
