Minor J. Fordyce 80 of Waynesburg, died at3:15 P.M. Friday April 26, 1985 at the University medical Center in Morgantown, WV following an illness of two months. Born March 12, 1905in Dunkard Township, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rebecca Rice Fordyce. He married Virginia Presock Fordyce who preceded him in death on Jan 17, 1962. A resident of Greene County for his entire life, he was formerly employed by Yoders Road Construction and also was a farmer. he was affiliated with the Protestant faith. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Grady (Shirley) Caviness of Riverton, Illinois, Mrs. Eugene (Grace) Conklin and Mildred Johnson, both of Waynesburg, and Mrs. Sylvanus (Marlene) Bennett of Waynesburg, Margaret Callahan and Josephine Kerns, both of Warren, Ohio, and Mary Pyles and Olive Fox both of Clarksville, two sons, Raymond Fordyce of Carmichaels, California, three brothers Hartford Fordyce of Homestead, Pa, George Fordyce of Waynesburg, and Melvin Fordyce of Clarksville, 27 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew (Dick) and Joseph Fordyce (family clippings Sylvia Sine Whittaker)
