Mr. and Mrs. Norman Morden were a fine family who came from Michigan to Alberta in 1899. They homesteaded the SW 1/4 of Sec 24-39-26W4. Norman was a log sawyer by trade, and met his death while sawing lumber where Soley's store in Lacombe is situated. Norman and Katherine had a family of four boys, Charlie, Claude, Jake and Arthur, and one daughter Gladys (Clara Gladys?), who later became Mrs. Playfair.
