Lawrence Davis of West Liberty, KY., passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, KY., at the age of 85 years, 10 months, and 14 days.

He was born on Friday, February 24, 1928, at Lick Fork, KY., son of the late Bruce and Annabelle Gross Davis.

He was a retired carpenter. He was a Christian and was a member and a deacon at the Lick Branch Enterprise Baptist Church for several years.

In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by three brothers, Winford Davis, Roy Davis, and Jimmalee Davis, and six sisters, Beulah Johnson, Dovie Adkins, Evie McNeeley, Della Keeton, Grace Adkins, and Goldie Adkins.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Ison Davis, his daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis & Henry Lee Caskey of West Liberty, KY., brother-in-law, Andy Adkins of West Liberty, KY., and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service 1 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014, at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Joe O. Jenkins, Bro. Troy Kidd, and Bro. Roger Ball officiating. Burial to follow in the Salyer Cemetery, West Liberty, KY.
