Longtime Duncan resident BURTON "BERT" PRICE WININGER SR., 91, died Monday, Feb. 6, 1995, at home.
Service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with Brad Allen officiating. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery, under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Mr. Wininger was born Jan. 21, 1904, in Duncan, Indian Territory, to Lee and Minnie Belle (Wilkerson) Wininger. He married Bertha Catherine Cockman, March 16, 1927, at Hot Springs, Ark. He had worked for over 40 years in the real estate and royalty business. He had purchased the land for Immanuel, Parkview and Trinity Baptist churches. He had been a deacon at Immanuel Baptist and a member of Parkview Baptist Church. He later attended First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Bert Wininger Jr. of Pasadena, Texas; a daughter, Mary Viola Binning of Duncan; a brother, Brice Wininger of Duncan; a sister, Jewel Holiday of Ponca City; three grand-children, Redena Ingram, Tamara Binning and Donald Wininger, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Justin Ingram, Al Smith, Bill Richardson, Billy Wininger, Howard Wininger, Don Wininger and David Wininger.
