James P. Conaway, 87 of Doylestown, died suddenly after a short illness at the Pinerun Health Center. He was the husband of the late Isabel C. Conaway.
James was a graduate of the Philadelphia Textile Institute and went to work for a family textile company before becoming an executive for Calico Corners Textiles.
James is survived by his daughters Louise C. Reese (Bill) of Maple Glen and Ruth C. Mannherz (Walter) of Bethlehem PA. In addition he is survived by his grandchildren Bill Jr (Karen) of Ambler, Richard J of Conchohoken, Daniel of Hartford, CT and Catherine of San Francisco, CA. He is also survived by two great grandchildren. Services were held at the Church of the Messiah, Lower Gwynedd, PA and arrangements courtesy of Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home of Ambler. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn PA
