Martin Brickey Dies Thursday
SANDY HOOK - Martin Brickey, 79, of 554 Buckley Road, Ashland, died Thursday afternoon in King's Daughters' Hospital after several weeks illness. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Brickey was born July 10, 1885, in Elliott Co. a, son of the late Parish and Jane Green Brickey. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday at Rocky Branch Church by the Rev. Vernon Dickerson and the Rev. Tracy Fannin. Burial will be in the Gilliam Cemetery. Surviving are four sons, William C. Brickey and Landon Brickey of Portsmouth, O., Fred and Elmer Brickey, both of Cleveland; four daughters, Mrs. Ella Mae Lancaster of Cleveland, Mrs. Scenia Murphy of Ironton, Mrs. Mary Lucas of Portsmouth, O., and Mrs. Coney Ferguson of Burke, Ky.; one sister, Mrs. Susan Adkins of Reynoldsburg, O., and several grandchildren. The body has been removed from the Lewis-Ferguson Funeral Home to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Coney Ferguson, where friends may call.
