Patsy Marie Haddox Beck, 78, left this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 in Spring Branch, Texas. She was born on July 9, 1935 in Chicot County, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Bob Randal and Ollie Beatrice Craven Haddox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Roy G. Beck, Jr., and a sister, Aileen Haddox Still.
Patsy was a 40 year resident of Alexandria, Louisiana and longtime member of Parkview Baptist Church where she served in a variety of ministries. She worked for the Louisiana Baptist Convention for 19 years.
Those left to cherish her memory are her three children: Bob Randal Beck of Nashville,Tennesee, Pamela Kay Beck Paul and her husband, Jeff, of Spring Branch, Texas and Paula Lorraine Beck Robinson and her husband, Carey, of Roanoke, Virginia. Twenty one grandchildren who knew her as "Nana" will greatly miss her influence in their lives. She also loved her 6 great grandchildren: Abigail May Paul, Jacob Edwin Paul, Adah Kathleen Paul, Josiah Victor Paul, Julian Beck Robinson-Siemen, and Elly Anna-Victoria Brymer. She leaves behind two sisters, Bobbie Sue Haddox Hayles and Kathleen Haddox Blount (Jimmie); a sister-in-law, Carol Ann Beck Pritchard (Wesley) and many extended family members who were dear to her.
The memorial service was held at Bulverde Baptist Church in Bulverde, Texas on Monday, December 16, 2013. Burial with graveside services were held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora, Arkansas on Saturday, December 21, 2013.
