Joseph Lawrence Copeland, 43, newspaperman, died at the Bryn Mawr Hospital yesterday. He had been in the hospital nearly a year, suffering from heart and kidney ailments.
Copeland, who lived at 43 Runnymede avenue, Wayne, was a contributor to magazines of articles on beautifying homes and lawns. He was a newspaperman many years, having worked on the old North American and Philadelphia Press and more lately, on The Inquirer.
He is survived by his widow, Anna Grace Copeland; two daughters, Virginia, 16, and Margaret, 13; two brothers, Ralph E., of Philadelphia, and B. W., Los Angeles; and two sisters, Mrs. George W. Stauffer, Connellsville, and Mrs. Marle Kingsley, Haddon Heights.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral parlors at Simpson and Athens roads, Ardmore, Monday. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery.
